With bedrooms overlooking the great Cheshire countryside and a range of seasonal specials from our new menu we’re a great country pub to visit for a peaceful retreat.
We offer an enticing range of cask ales and lagers, such as Manchester Craft Lager and JW Lees Bitter to go alongside our tasty dishes from our menus. With our relaxed atmosphere, perfectly prepared food and award-winning cask ales, where else would you want to be?
Our 200-year-old wayside inn has been family owned for 88 years and is now home to the JW Lees ‘From Hop to Glass’ garden which won Best Show Garden at the 2018 RHS Tatton Flower Show.

Pull up a chair with our new Spring menu in Plumley. Enjoy delicious seasonal dishes, made for warm days and cold pints with friends and family. Perfect for pairing with our Manchester-made beers, our new menu includes seasonal salads, new signature dishes, succulent grills and more. Not forgetting your pub favourites like our legendary cheese & onion pie, MPA battered cod fillet and the iconic Brewery tower burger.
If you’re planning a midweek catch-up, try our Prix Fixe set menu. Served all day from 12 noon Monday to Friday, enjoy two courses for only 17.45 or three for 19.95. Go on… treat yourself to a laid-back bite and a proper pint.
Sunday is a day of roast. Ours come with bottomless gravy and unlimited Yorkshire puddings (because one Yorkie is never enough and good gravy should never run out). Nothing beats a proper roast, and it’s even better without the bother of cooking and cleaning.

Pop down every Wednesday to enjoy our fabulous Wine Wednesday offer by buying two large glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle on us.
